Through its admissions process, EBI strives to create a vibrant community of interesting and motivated learners, with a diversity that reflects that of the greater Bay Area. EBI encourages applicants of all genders, religions, national or ethnic origins, and family composition.
2008-2009 Admissions
EBI has very limited space available for the 2008-09 school year. EBI is continuing to accept applications for available spaces in pre-primary, kindergarten, first, and second grades. Please note the following age eligibility requirements:
- For pre-primary, 3 years old by September 1, 2008.
- For kindergarten, 5 years old by September 1, 2008.
Additionally, for kindergarten and 1st and 2nd grade applicants, your child's current teacher must submit a completed teacher recommendation. The teacher should submit the form directly to EBI; please provide the teacher with the blank form and a stamped envelope addressed to EBI. EBI uses the East Bay Independent School Association's standard form.

Once we receive your application materials, we will contact you to schedule a family interview.
Please note that for the 2008-09 school year, a limited amount of financial aid may be available for students in kindergarten or grades 1 and 2. Unfortunately, we cannot offer financial aid to new applicants in the pre-primary program at this time.

2009-2010 Admissions
EBI will begin the admissions process for the 2009-2010 school year in October, 2008, including Parent Information Sessions and School Tours. Use the mailing list form on the left side of this page to submit your contact information, and we will update you when the admissions calendar is finalized.
