Thank you for your interest in having your child join us at Escuela Bilingüe Internacional.
Through its admissions process, EBI strives to create a vibrant community of interesting and motivated learners, with a diversity that reflects that of the greater Bay Area. EBI encourages applicants of all genders, religions, national or ethnic origins, and family composition.
2009-2010 Admissions
For the 2009-2010 school year, EBI is accepting applications for pre-primary, kindergarten, and first through third grades. Please note the following age eligibility requirements:
- For pre-primary, 3 years old by September 1, 2009.
- For kindergarten, 5 years old by September 1, 2009.
Step 1. Attend a Parent Information Session. No reservations required, and childcare is available.
Step 2. Take a tour of EBI. Tours are held most Wednesday mornings from 9:00 to 10:00. Contact the school at 510-653-3324 or admissions@ebinternacional.org to reserve a spot.
Step 3. Download the 2009-10 Application for Admission.
Please submit:
- Your completed application (available October 15)
- $75 application fee
- A small photo of your child
Additionally, applicants in kindergarten and above, your child’s current teacher must submit a completed teacher recommendation. The teacher should submit the form directly to EBI; please provide the teacher with the blank form and a stamped envelope addressed to EBI. EBI uses the East Bay Independent School Association’s standard form.

All application materials, including teacher recommendations, must be received by EBI by January 9, 2009.
Once your application is complete, we will contact you to schedule a family interview and a group assessment time for your child (held on Saturdays in January and February).
EBI will mail admissions decisions on March 5, 2009. Contracts, with a 10% deposit, are due March 13, 2008.
