EBI student takes action to help homeless in Oakland

Thursday, November 30, 2017

Lily (class of 2019), has been a student at Escuela Bilingüe Internacional (EBI) since preschool. The International Baccalaureate programme at EBI supports students in becoming not only inquirers, but problem solvers. Lily was inspired to take action on the homelessness issue in the Bay Area after reading "Be a change maker: How to start something that matters". Lily founded, "Earth Without art=EH", to be able to be a part of a solution. The organization sells children's art and proceeds are used to create personal product care packages for the homeless. People can volunteer to keep the packages in their car and distribute to the homeless as they drive within the city and there is an opportunity.
