Saturday, September 16, 2017 - 8:30am to 11:30am
2333 Powell St, Emeryville, CA 94608, USA
Ahoy all clean-up volunteers and champions! Mark your calendars! Saturday September 16th will be the annual Coastal Clean Up in Emeryville next to the Fire Station at 2333 Powell St. 8:45 is sign-in time. As always, volunteers will be treated to refreshments and raffle prizes from local Emeryville businesses. Alameda County Fire Fighters will train you all in sharps (needles & broken glass) collection. We hope to get in a solid 2 hours of collection, from 9:15 -11:15 or so. Later arrivals, after 9:15 will miss 9:00 orientation. Raffle prizes will be drawn at 11:30. As much as possible, bring your own collection bags or buckets (separation of trash from recyclables is helpful), reusable water bottle and coffee mug, work gloves, garden digging claw(s), and pick-up sticks. We have a supply of these items, but it’s limited and we encourage reusables, over disposables (of course!). Wear sturdy shoes, layers, a hat, sunscreen.
