Digital Citizenship

Digital Citizenship is interwoven into our curriculum. Our curriculum requires our students to conduct research using an expansive pool of sources of information. This involves hard and digital forms of resources including books, websites, periodicals, documentaries and blogs. Explicit teaching of digital citizenship and literacy skills supports our rigorous approach to learning. We use Common Sense Media’s Scope and Sequence to support the teaching and learning of these skills. Some of the topics we cover are digital footprint, cyberbullying, staying safe online and strategic searching.

We are a Common Sense Media Supporter School. Being a supporter school provides us with direct support through professional development for our teachers and community presentations by Common Sense Media experts. We encourage you to explore their website to learn more about how to talk to your children in the digital age. Please also visit our EdTech Blog to read the latest technology initiatives going on in EBl.
