Aventura-Summer Camp at EBI!
Join us at Aventura – Summer Camp at EBI where campers can participate in interest based, engaging, innovative and age-appropriate enriching activities in Spanish, STEAM, Athletics, and Global Arts in a COVID safe environment, led by our outstanding faculty and renowned industry partners. Each of our summer camp weeks are full of FUN!
Our EBI Summer Camps are open to both EBI and non-EBI students from PK-4th grades with no prior Spanish language required. Our Aventura summer program has been designed to accommodate your family’s schedule, offering weekly camps, as well as early and after care options. This summer 2023, EBI is very glad to offer 7 weeks of camp (June 26-August 11).
Escuela Bilingüe Internacional (EBI), California’s only Spanish-English dual-immersion, IB World independent school, welcomes you for a summer of Spanish language, cultural immersion and exciting adventures. EBI’s staff represents many Spanish-speaking countries including: Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Peru, Venezuela, Argentina, Spain and Cuba. Each one brings a passion for inspiring young minds and a passion for creating global, wonderful memories with your campers that will last for a lifetime!
COVID-19 Safety Plan:
EBI Summer Camp will follow the same Health and Safety protocols outlined in our EBI Pandemic Response Plan. These include social distancing, separated Drop-off and Pick-Up schedules, disinfection and COVID testing at EBI. Please note, these protocols are based on the current COVID-19 metrics and will be updated as the COVID-19 metrics evolve in the following months.
All Summer Camp families are expected to adhere to the directives of applicable local, state and federal government health departments, including CDC, CDE, CDPH, and ACDPH, regarding social distancing in public and other measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

2023 Aventura-Summer Camp Themes
Session I, Ancient Egypt (June 26 – June 30)
Join us as we travel back in time to ancient Egypt. Campers will inquire about the spectacular Egyptian pyramids, how they were built and will learn about the main characteristics of the ancient Egypt civilization’s culture.
Session II, Dino-Adventure (July 5 – July 7)
Get ready for an adventure to the world of dinosaurs. This week we will explore the everyday life of the largest creatures to ever roam the earth. We will make dinosaur eggs, and even learn a few excavation tips along the way. Who knows what prehistoric things we might find!
Session III, Crazy Scientist (July 10 – July 14)
This week campers will become mad scientists! We will use chemistry to make sticky, gross textures that may even erupt! Campers are sure to have a blast creating and playing with their own mess!
Session IV, Under the Stars (July 17 – July 21)
Campers will explore the infinite world of space, from stars to planets and even learn about black holes. Campers will make their own mini-galaxies, and play with space slime! This camp is going to be out of this world!
Session V, Animal Kingdom (July 24 – July 28)
Come take a walk on the wild side! At the Animal Kingdom camp we will nurture campers a love for nature! We will learn about animals and their importance in the ecosystem. Campers will get to meet animals up close and personal!
Session VI, Summer of Fun (July 31 – August 4)
This week campers will have fun in the sun. We will take advantage of the hot summer days to enjoy outdoor games, sports and art. Campers will participate in splash-tastic activities to cool down. Don’t miss out!
Session VII, DIY Makers (August 7 – August 11)
Gear up to share your craft and learn a new one! Campers will learn about the latest DIY ideas, techniques and tools. Campers will be provided with a maker space to let their imagination run wild. By the end of the session students will view the world with a maker mindset.
PRE-KINDER (3 YEAR OLDS)
This camp is designed for all incoming pre-kinder students.This transitioning camp will help students get familiar with the Spanish language instruction, school routines, transitions and activities in a fun and caring environment that promotes students confidence to start their preschool stage!
PRE-KINDER (4-5 YEAR OLDS)
The program is designed for the abilities and interests of campers that are already pre-kinder students. Campers of this age can participate in fun, engaging and enriching activities in Spanish. Every day is full of fun with songs, games, projects, storytelling, outdoor playing and much more!
KINDERGARTEN
This camp is designed for all incoming kindergarten students. This camp will help students transition into the kindergarten routine, transitions and activities. Our fun, engaging and stimulating curriculum will help them to embrace the new exciting challenges of their kindergarten life!
1ST – 4TH CAMP OPTIONS
The program is designed for the abilities and interests of campers entering grades 1-4. Campers of this age can participate in engaging activities in Spanish, STEAM, Athletics and Global Arts. Every day is full of fun with the Spanish Challenge of the Day, daily team building outdoor games and one amazing field trip each session!

Important Information about Camp
Pre-kinder – Kinder:
- Location:
- All Pre-kinder and Kinder Summer Camp sessions will take place on EBI’s Alcatraz Campus located at 410 Alcatraz Avenue, Oakland, CA 94609.
- Requirements:
- All students must be fully potty trained.
- Campers must be at least three years old at the start of camp.
- There is no previous Spanish language requirement.
- Snacks and Lunch:
- EBI provides morning and afternoon healthy snacks for all campers.
- Lunch is not provided by EBI. Please pack your campers’ lunch
and/or additional snacks for the day in a labeled lunch box or
bag. Campers will not have access to a refrigerator or microwave
facility. Please send food that is not temperature sensitive and will
not spoil. EBI is a nut-free campus, please help us by not sending
your camper with any nut products (including nut butters or bars
of any kind).
- No field trips for PK and Kinder students
1st-4th grade:
- Location:
- All 1st-4th grade Summer Camp sessions will take place on EBI’s San Pablo Campus located at 4550 San Pablo Avenue, Emeryville, CA 94608.
- Requirements
- There is no Spanish language requirement.
- Snacks and Lunch:
- EBI provides morning and afternoon healthy snacks for all campers.
- Lunch is not provided by EBI. Please pack your campers’ lunch
and/or additional snacks for the day in a labeled lunch box or
bag. Campers will not have access to a refrigerator or microwave
facility. Please send food that is not temperature sensitive and will
not spoil. EBI is a nut-free campus, please help us by not sending

- Field trips:
