Who We Are

Rooted in Community. Inspired by Possibility.

Rooted in Community. Inspired by Possibility.

EBI is a PK–8 Spanish–English bilingual International Baccalaureate (IB) World School where students become compassionate, multilingual, globally minded leaders. Across two vibrant campuses in Oakland and Emeryville, our community reflects many cultures, languages, and lived experiences—creating a school where every child is seen, challenged, and celebrated.

Our Mission & Core Values

What Sets EBI Apart

Biliteracy for Life. Students graduate reading, writing, speaking, and thinking confidently in two languages.

Inquiry in Action. The IB framework cultivates curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking through real-world, interdisciplinary projects.

Whole‑Child Focus. Strong social‑emotional learning (SEL) ensures students feel safe, known, and ready to learn.

Global Citizenship. Cultural humility, service learning, and capstone projects help students take informed action locally and globally.

Personalized Pathways. Small class sizes, learning support, and ASP placement meet students where they are—and help them soar.
