Adriana and her husband, Mark, live in Berkeley with their elementary-age son. They love EBI for its welcoming community, its academic excellence, and the opportunity to bring Adriana’s heritage language (Spanish) to the next generation. Adriana moved to the Bay Area to earn her PhD in Computer Science at UC Berkeley many years ago, then fell in love with the city and planted roots.

Adriana is an established leader in technology. She is currently a Principal Engineer at Google DeepMind, where she leads cross-Google teams to launch consumer AI products. Previously, she ran large engineering organizations as an Engineering Director for Google Chrome. Adriana would bring governance experience to EBI, having served three terms on the Board of Directors for Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, a food bank serving 400-500k residents monthly.
