Josh is a corporate venture capital investor focused on early-stage software and fintech companies. Since 2013, he has managed 40 investments and served on 20 private company boards. He holds degrees from Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Michigan, where he earned both an MBA and an MS in Human-Computer Interaction.

Josh began his career in nonprofit management, leading AmeriCorps teams in St. Louis city schools and disaster recovery efforts following Hurricane Katrina. He later worked to expand healthcare access in underserved communities through technology.

Josh and his partner, Kathleen, live in Oakland with their two daughters. Fall 2026 marks the family's fourth year at EBI, with their eldest entering First Grade and their youngest starting PK. Josh's love for EBI's mission and community drew him into school service, beginning as a class parent (2023-2024), and continuing as EBIPA class parent coordinator and parent ambassador (2024-2025). That engagement led him to the Board of Trustees, first as Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair (2025-2026), and now as Board Chair beginning July 2026.
