Josh is a fourth generation Californian. Josh earned his BS degree in Business from the University of the Pacific. He is CEO of Oliver and Company, a construction, development, and property management firm in its 79th year in business. Over 50% of the company’s volume is dedicated to nonprofit work including affordable housing, schools, clinics, theaters, museums, and faith-based organizations.

Josh was on the EBI board of trustees from 2008-2011 and worked closely with the school’s leadership to acquire the building and land  at the current San Pablo site in 2010 and worked to develop and build out the campus in phases through Oliver and Company’s non-profit partnership fund who’s mission is to help non-profits eventually own their building 100% which EBI accomplished in 2017.

Josh lives in Oakland with his wife Azar and two children, Easton and Suri (both are EBI students). They are passionate about EBI, the IB teaching, and bilingual education. Azar and Josh had no doubt EBI was where they wanted their kids to go to school and are excited for the future years ahead.
